TalkStory Theater seeks 10-minute plays

 We are now seeking submissions of ten minute scripts to be included in our first show, ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes.’

We will choose three scripts to be showcased either late October or early November.

Local playwrights from the New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Massachusetts area may send their submission (limit one pp) as an attachment to TalkStoryco@gmail.com.

We are searching for plays that challenge expectations and leave us feeling haunted. As the theme suggests, we would like to receive scripts with darker undertones, and some ties to fable and folklore. While these plays may be scary, they should also be appropriate for younger audiences, so no nudity/ sex/ graphic language etc.

Submission deadline is September 11 at 11:59pm, plays received any later than this date will not be considered. 

We are looking for plays with simple set requirements and no more than four characters. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any kind of compensation at this time, and we would prefer the chosen playwrights to be present the night of the show. We can, however, offer gratuitous amounts of coffee and support, as well as an excellent atmosphere to work within. We look forward to hearing from you!
