Indra’s Net Theater Company welcomes submissions of new works

web site

NOTE: Writers must be able and willing to engage fully in developmental process, including re-writing parts of the script where appropriate, traveling to Berkeley for rehearsals and performances, and responding constructively to feedback.

INDRA’S NET THEATER COMPANY
Indra's Net Theatre Company is dedicated to developing and promoting promising new works for the theatre that focus on science and its philosophical and ethical implications. Indra’s Net Theater Company (http://www.indrasnettheater.com) welcomes submissions of new works, including plays, adaptations and translations.
Indra’s Net Theater produces professional quality plays that explore the “big questions” at the modern intersection of science and philosophy. We seek to serve the greater scholarly and intellectually engaged community through the highest quality productions of challenging plays about the world we live in, what we know and how we know it. This includes the inquiries of science, what it may say about who we are, and what the world around us (and within us) is really like.

Selected scripts will undergo a developmental process, which includes:
Staged reading in Berkeley, CA for invited audience, often including industry professionals; professional actors; Pre-performance response and suggested re-writes from company producing artistic director, Bruce Coughran ; Post-performance audience feedback.

Accepting full-length plays on an ongoing basis.

Scripts submitted by September 15 will be considered for development beginning the following spring and summer.

Scripts should be emailed to: indrasnettheaterliterary@gmail.com

Scripts should be sent to:
