The OC-centric New Play Festival Seeks New Play Submissions for 2022

Website

Deadline: January 24, 2022

Do you live in or hail from Orange County, CA? If so, you are eligible to submit your play to OC-centric: Orange County’s New Play Festival, slated for August 2022 at Chapman University in Orange.

Now in its eleventh year, OC-centric presents fully staged productions of new plays, featuring actors from the OC storefront theater scene, the greater Los Angeles area, and Chapman University students.

Since 2011, we have produced new works from Diana Burbano, Lojo Simon, Megan Breen, Erica Bennett, Karen Fix Curry, Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm, Joni Ravenna, Jordan R. Young, Robert Riemer and many other OC-linked playwrights.

For 2022, we are seeking one-act plays that are between 30 and 60 minutes long and full-length plays that are a maximum of 90 minutes long. We are especially interested in plays with music or songs (rather than plays distinctly written as musicals with choreography and scores).

Each play we produce will receive ten performances during the festival.
