10TH COLUMBUS BLACK THEATRE FESTIVAL seeks one-act plays and monologues

Mine 4 God Productions (M4GP) is now accepting creative works that say something in words that speak truth and heals souls when spoken out loud.

The 2022 theme for our 10thAnnual Columbus Black Theatre Festival (CBTF) is “Speaking Truth That Heals.”

We are accepting monologues and one-act plays that have diversity, inclusion, and equity of Black and Brown characters for our 10th Annual Columbus Black Theatre Festival (CBTF) that will be held July 8th-10th2022, at The Columbus Performing Arts Center and July 16th-17th 2022, at The Abbey Theatre of Dublin, Ohio. Submission dates are December 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022.

The entries need to meet the following criteria:

ONE-ACT PLAYS

1) No more than 4 characters (6 characters can play double-role.)

2) No derogatory, hate based, sexually explicit work will be reviewed or accepted.

3) Have minimal set/light requirements.

4) If required, play can be rehearsed/performed effectively by virtual means.

5) 15 to 30 minutes long.

6) Blocking of the play can be rearranged by the Director to meet social distance guidelines of State and theatre venue.


MONOLOGUES

1) 5 to 10 minutes long.

2) No derogatory, hate based, sexually explicit work will be reviewed or accepted.
