Table Work Press is a new collective that publishes and advocates for promising plays. Through identifying exciting new plays, TWP will contribute to the fabric of the American theatre by championing playwrights whose work is important, pressing, and worth writing home about. For more information, please visit https://www.tableworkpress.org/about
In our inaugural season, we look forward to reading new work and broadening our network of playwrights. Our 2019 open submission period will be held from September 22nd until November 22nd, 2019.
Selected plays will be published, and playwrights will receive a $500 stipend, a share of profits, and a reading in New York City (while we are unable to provide housing and transportation at this time, we will create a recording for playwrights unable to attend in person). Playwrights who are not selected to be published this season may be invited to partner for other opportunities.
To submit your work, please send your full-length, unpublished script and a one-to-two page artist statement in PDF form to admin@tableworkpress.org. For more information, please visit https://www.tableworkpress.org/submit.
All plays will be read by a minimum of two readers, and all applicants will be notified of their status no later than February 15th, 2020.
We look forward to reading your work!
