First Laugh (The First Time Ever Annual Yearly Festival of LOL New One-Act Plays Ever In Life)
Join Piccolo Theatre this February for its inaugural festival of one-act plays. First Laugh premieres the original work of local playwrights, and joins comedy writing and performance to answer the question, “What was your first laugh?” This juried festival will feature a fantastic prize awarded to the audience favorite. Two nights a weekend for two weekends, explore the unique origins of what people find funny.
Run February 7-8, and 14-15
All performances are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 PM
Tickets are $20 (adults), Group discounts available!
Submission Guidelines for Piccolo Theatre Comedy One-Act Festival
Email Submissions:
-The play title in the subject line
-List of cast and crew members with email contact info.
-A PDF copy of your script in its entirety.
-Scenic design and ground plan. Remember your play needs to be conducive to sharing the stage.
-A two paragraph synopsis.
-A paragraph detailing your script's use of the theme “The first thing I found funny.”
-Playwright and director bios.
