NOTE: there is no submission fee, but if a playwright is chosen to participate, they will be asked to contribute $20 towards the rental space. The contribution is not required but appreciated. 

We are looking for writing that pushes boundaries, has a strong vision, voice and perspective. We gravitate towards work that takes risks and shows a compelling uniqueness.  We can accommodate large or small casts, any age range and cultural diversity.

Deadline is the 1st of each month for the following month's workshop.

Are you looking for a forum to workshop your script?

Fresh Produce’d is a group of actors, producers & directors who will workshop your script (Staged Reading or Modestly Staged & off-book).

Each month we select 3 guest playwrights from submissions received.

If your script is chosen, you will meet the cast at the beginning of the month and spend two weeks rehearsing your piece. It will then be performed the third Thursday of that month along with the 2 other guest playwrights at The Arthur Seleen Theater at The Drama Bookshop (250 W 40th st NYC)

Guidelines:
• Under 20 pages (it can be a full short script or a scene from a larger script)
• Minimal set & props
• Please submit script as PDF & character breakdowns
