The Ludington Area Center for the Arts (LACA) is accepting submissions for its annual ‘10-Minute Play Festival.
Playwrights currently living in Michigan or those with a past connection to the Great Lake State are eligible to submit up to two (2) plays. All plays must be complete, 10-minute plays, running approximately 10 minutes, with a small cast. No musicals, please.
Plays can be of any genres, on any theme or subject. Plays should be royalty-free and written in standard playwriting format. Previously staged plays are permitted.
Eight (8) plays will be selected for the festival by a panel of theater professionals.

If chosen, playwrights receive a $50 stipend.
Plays will be mounted with small budgets, although they will be fully staged with necessary props, costumes, sound and lighting. Plays should need only simple staging with minimal production requirements.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024. Winners will be announced on the art center's website (www.ludingtonartscenter.org) Monday, March 4, ,2024.
LACA's 10-Minute Play Festival will take place in the art center's performance hall May 17-19.
