First Round Fellowship Guidelines
Submission deadline: May 1, 2017
Providing emerging artists with space, technical, and financial support in which to fine tune new works and artistic ventures
Artists will be selected for this upcoming season receiving:
*Access to rehearsal/work space for one month *A reading following the one month process *Artistic guidance and feedback
*Fellowship Award of $1,000 To submit please attach:
1. resume,
2. a 5-10 page sample of the proposed work and
3. one-page cover letter outlining the following:
a. Contact Info
b. Description of proposed project
c. Artistic goals for this project
d. Has this work been published/performed before?
e. Space/requirement/budget needs f. Scheduling conflicts/preferences
*Please note that the fellowship is not limited to just playwrights but is open to creators in all performance-based art forms.
Past seasons of Fellowship winners included Dolphins & Sharks by James A. Tyler (currently running off-Broadway at LAByrinth, Snuff by “Empanada Loca” playwright Aaron Mark, The Climb, by The Lark member C.A. Johnson, Journeymen and Womyn (with a “y”) by Mike Wirsch.
