Submissions for 2015/2016

Each year, with the generous support of Suncor, Lunchbox Theatre is able to workshop scripts through the Suncor Stage One Festival. All chosen playwrights receive dramaturgical support, a workshop with a professional director and actors and either a closed or public reading, depending on the stage development.

Lunchbox Theatre is currently inviting playwrights to submit one-act plays for consideration. All plays must eventually run approximately 50 minutes. Submissions are not limited to comedies and musicals but content should be suitable for Lunchbox Theatre audiences – excessive use of foul language or nudity may limit the possibility of production.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone is allowed to apply.

All applications should include:

• Playwright’s resume
• History of any development the script has received thus far
• Premise of the play
• Plot outline for the basic structure of the play
• Minimum of 15 pages of script for the piece being submitted
