I AM CHARLOTTE by Richard Lyons Conlon  was chosen as one of the finalists for the RESISTING FASCISM project. You can see more of Richard's work at the New Play Exchange.

This is an excerpt from the play, with Rhiannon Frazier as Char, Atlie Gilbert as Liz and Christopher Prentice as Mark.


Rhiannon Frazier is an Albuquerque-based creator whose major focus is on new works created for and with her community. You can find her on Instagram at @alittleshiver.

Atlie Gilbert is a multidisciplinary artist, passionate about developing new work across theater, film, and beyond. She recently performed in the Artistic Congress, presented by Long Wharf Theatre & Yale and the Social Change Festival, presented by Still Point Theatre Collective & 6th Fest. Other regional credits include American Blues Theater, Great Lakes Theater, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare, among others. On screen, she has appeared in Famous Canadian Actors, Perdido, and Searching for Yoo, with additional projects in development. As a featured guest artist and speaker, she has collaborated with organizations such as the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Joliet Junior College, Chicago Dramatists, and Literacy Chicago, as well as other institutions. Atlie is represented by Grossman & Jack Talent, Shushu Entertainment, and Metropolis Artists Agency. @atliegilbert

Christopher Prentice is pleased to appear for NYCPlaywrights for the first time. A Chicago-based actor, he has appeared in classics and new works for many theater companies including Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Milwaukee Rep. As a company member of the Stratford Festival for five seasons, he appeared in over a dozen productions. He was a co-founder of Chicago’s Signal Ensemble Theatre, where favorite roles included Benedick, Estragon, Marlow (She Stoops to Conquer), Jerry (The Zoo Story), Hamlet and Chris in the world-premiere of Landslide. He has participated in the development of new works by Coleman, Amy Crider, Joshua Fardon, John S. Green, Richard Gustin, Hope Hommersand, David Alan Moore, Joshua Fardon, Tasmin Jahan, Paul Pasulka and Richard Lyons Conlon. christopherprentice.com
