Shakesperience Productions is looking for playwrights of Puerto Rican descent to join our team to authentically develop pieces of our new work titled “Dia De Los Reyes”.
Shakesperience Productions is beginning a new phase of a project which is part of our Neighborhoods Program, a 10 year old community based project where artists of all ages create a canon of scenes, monologues, songs etc based on history and personal experience. One of these pieces, created in conjunction with the Hispanic Coalition of Greater Waterbury, tells the story of how 3 Kings Day became an official holiday in the Waterbury Public Schools post Hurricane Maria. Shakesperience Productions built the story into a short play, then a short musical with a local composer are now creating a longer piece to tour to local schools.
