Meriwether Publishing Ltd seeks female monologues

Meriwether Publishing, Ltd., plans another collection of contemporary monologues and scenes for publication in Fall 2011 and am inviting you to consider materials. Volume 3 will focus on female issues (ages 15-25). Submissions should be mature and address "issues" but also language sensitive for high school/college classroom discussion and performance.

Monologues should be 4-5 minutes in length and run about 2 and 1/2 to 3 pages in type. Monologues comic or tragic, with three-dimensional characters and "action" oriented rather than "narrative," are highly desirable. Satirical monologues or those that feature eccentric characters in the indicated age range are rare and also desirable. Duo scenes (male/female or female/ female) are also included in the new volume and should be 8-10 minutes in length and run about 5 and l/2 to 6 pages in type.

Authors retain all copyright authority for granting non-exclusive reprint rights and the author copyright contact information is included with each published monologue or scene. A modest author honorarium and/or complimentary copy of the published volume is provided as well.
