UpStage Napa Valley’s PlayFest 2024 will take place October 11th - 13th, 18th - 20th & 27th - 19th at Grace Episcopal Church on Spring Street in St. Helena.

This local event focuses on short, 10-15-minute plays, a genre that began in the late1970's and has soared in popularity, becoming one of the most popular and accessible types of plays today.

Due to it's popularity, Playfest 2023 saw two festival performances become professionally published following the showcase. One of the writers, San Francisco playwright, Susan Jackson, who wrote, “A Razing in Missouri,”is set to write an exclusive full-length show for the UpStage Napa Valley theater company to be performed early next year.

With a focus on social issues, UpStage Napa Valley offers thought-provoking productions.

Upstage Napa Valley is calling all playwrights & aspiring writers to submit their works for it's Fourth Annual playwriting festival,
RULES:

- Theme: "Just a bit outside"

- Must Be An Original Play

- 15 Minutes Long

- No More Than Three Characters

- One Set

- One Play Submission Per Person
