We’re delighted to announce this short-play writing competition proudly supported by City of Stonnington (Australia.)We’re looking for short-play scripts that meet the following criteria:
The script must be set in a café, with simple staging requirements;
The conversation is between 2 or 3 characters, including one young person 16-25 years old and one older person 40+ years old;
Up to 15 minutes performance time;
To be submitted by Friday 25 November, as an attachment in standard WORD format – emailed to malverntheatrecompany@gmail.com
A small panel of script readers will choose the 8 best plays that meet the above guidelines.
Winners will be announced early 2023, and each will be awarded a prize of $250.
Winning plays will be performed on the Malvern stage early in 2024, and recorded for release on our YouTube channel.
