Via Brooklyn has produced shows at venues such as 59E59, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Rochester Fringe Festival, The Wallace Collection in London, and the Southampton Cultural Center in Southampton, NY. ABOUT "IRON ANTHOLOGY":
“Iron Anthology” will be a series of three, 30-60 minute audio plays (one of which has already been commissioned) that will each be split into three parts for release on all major podcast platforms this Halloween 2022. The first audio play already created for the series looks at three strangers’ search for iron ore in 1820s New Jersey, but when a malevolent presence begins to sabotage their efforts, their quest for riches becomes a struggle for survival. We are seeking two additional playwrights each to write another work for the series.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Write an original 30-60 minute audio horror drama
-Incorporate editing notes from the production team as necessary
-Deliver drafts in a timely manner by deadlines agreed upon in advance
PREFERRED SKILLS:
-Experience writing for the horror genre
-Experience with writing for audio drama productions
-Excellent communication skills
-A true team player and ensemble member
PAYMENT:
-$1,300 flat fee for buy out of a 30-60 minute commissioned audio drama
-Candidate will be hired under a 1099.
DATES:
Pre-production is already underway, with recording set for July or August 2022. “Iron Anthology” will be released around Halloween 2022.
