The John DeSotelle Studio in Midtown, Manhattan, is looking for short plays for a theatre festival to take place this September. Seeking a 6-10 minute piece about six life stages/life events, told through the lens of a particular emotion: sadness, anger, joy, guilt, jealously etc.

- Birth/New Beginning
- Childhood/Coming of Age
- Breakup/Loss
- Failing in Love (with a person, thing or idea)
- Buiding/Commitment (marriage, career, etc.)
- Death/Finality
For example it could be a coming-of-age story told through the lens of jealousy, or a story about building a career told through the lens of sorrow. Interpret however you want. All genres welcome.
