Clamour Theatre Company (https://clamourtheatre.org) is accepting applications through July 31, 2021 for Clay & Water 2022, our Fourth Annual Playwrights' Retreat.

Five playwrights will be selected to participate on dates TBD in the 1st Quarter of 2022.

Due to the fact that our state of Florida is lagging behind in vaccinations, we are not yet sure whether the Retreat will be in-person or virtual. Thus, the dates are still not finalized, and we understand that some applicants, if selected, may not be able to attend once the final dates and format are chosen. We suggest you go ahead and apply, and we'll all figure it out when the time comes.


The application guidelines include a request that you tell us whether you are applying for an In-Person version of the Retreat only, a Virtual version only, or either.

Application Deadline: Midnight (Eastern time) July 31, 2021

No fee to apply or attend.

What to submit: Draft of one full-length unproduced, unpublished non-musical play (60-120 pages) in a standard play script format that requires 2 to 4 actors to perform. PDF format. Plays that have had previous developmental readings are acceptable.
