Connective Theatre Company Play(s) At Home Festival

web site

Deadline: March 25, 2020

Chicago IL

Connective Theatre Company is thrilled to announce our first virtual play festival: Play(s) At Home, directed by Chase Hauser. In this time of isolation and quarantine, CTC hopes to inspire, motivate, and connect people from across the world through a virtual reading of various short plays.

Playwrights from all over are encouraged to submit short scenes/sketches/plays that address the various experiences we are going through due to COVID-19 (i.e., self-quarantine, anxiety, paranoia, toilet paper shortages, etc.).

Submissions of all tones are welcome-- CTC hopes to produce a wide range of stories that encapsulate the wide range of emotions we are all feeling at this time. Please keep all submissions under ten minutes in length. Selected plays will be rehearsed, performed, and recorded remotely from the comfort (and safety!) of the actors' homes. The readings will be published on our website and social media on Saturday, March 28th.

Connective Theatre Company is committed to telling stories that connect reason and emotion, provoke critical consciousness, and facilitate a path to action.

Important Dates: March 18th-March 25th: Accepting Submissions.
March 26th: Playwright's chosen for production will be contacted via email.
March 27th: CTC will cast and rehearse each piece via Zoom call.
March 28th: Play will be performed, remotely recorded, and published on CTC's website and social media.

This call for scripts is worldwide
