Breaking Through the Box seeks plays

web site

Breaking Through the Box, a New Jersey based Non-Profit Theater Company, is looking for plays written by up-and-coming playwrights (or new work by published playwrights) for our 2018-2019 season.

DEADLINE: JANUARY 1st.

The theme of the season is “Innocence and Adolescence”, and we are looking for one to two new plays to showcase. This play will not only be produced but also have opportunities for workshopping and feedback on the script once cast and before rehearsals begin.

To Submit: You may either submit a one-act/full-length play that relates to this theme, or a sample of your work with the hope of having a piece being commissioned. The plays will be looked at by our Director of Development, Joe Piserchio, who will send the top prospects off to our Artistic Director. The playwright chosen will be contacted in late February/early March, and negotiations over the details of the process will be discussed then.

Please submit all work to  bttb.development@gmail.com

If you have any questions or comments before submitting, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
