PLATFORM: CREATIVE MUSINGS ON MASS TRANSIT

web site

Inspired by the engineering, intricate choreography, and impromptu interactions of your daily commute? Wish there was an open mic night for historians and urbanists? A show-and-tell for your creative musings on mass transit?

Us, too. The Transit Museum presents PLATFORM, an exciting series of cross-disciplinary programs created by the public for the public. Have an idea? We’ll give you a platform.

Save the Date! The next PLATFORM will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at the Transit Museum in Downtown Brooklyn. Join us for an evening of live performance, photography, mad libs, and projection mapping, all set against the backdrop of our 1936 subway station home.

NOW ACCEPTING ARTISTS’ PROPOSALS

The Transit Museum is now accepting creative proposals for 2017 PLATFORM programs, due by 5pm on Tuesday, July 18th. We welcome submissions from all disciplines—history, science, engineering, visual and performing arts, urban studies, city planning, academic fields. The common denominator? Public transportation.

Submit your proposal today using this form, or browse our previous artists’ work below for inspiration.
