Writers are wanted for the Annual Cemetery Tour, a collaboration of the Chapman Historical Museum & The Glens Falls (NY) Community Theater
1. Write one or more scripts for the cemetery tour, using notes provided by the Chapman.
2. Notes will be ready in April; final scripts are due by June 30, 2015.
3. Scripts should be 7 to 8 minutes in length.
4. Scripts can be a monologue or a dialogue – the second person can be another family member, friend or business partner.
5. The writing is on a volunteer basis; if selected, you will be recognized in the program.
6. Note: the 2015 Cemetery Tour will take place on September 26, 2015 at the Pineview Cemetery on Quaker Road in Queensbury.
HOW TO APPLY (AUDITION)
1. Contact John Muller to get a writing packet – phone: 480-3115 email: johncharlesmuller@gmail.com
2. The writing packet will contain biographical notes on one person who is going to be portrayed in this year’s tour.
3. Write a script and submit it to John Muller by March 15, 2015.
4. Indicate how many scripts you are willing to write (there will be 7 total).
5. We are looking for scripts to be accurate, lively, educational and engaging.
6. All scripts will be reviewed by a committee and writers for this year’s program will be selected by the end of March and assignments made at that time.
