Theatre Gwaun Writers Festival

Make a note in your diaries that all entries for the Writer’s Festival must be in by 21st February 2015. Ten minute plays, stories or poems that are your own work will be welcome from all ages. We will try to include as many as we can. Please note it will be a family audience. The 3rd Gwaun Writer’s Festival will be on Saturday 28th March 2015.

Guidelines for submissions to the Gwaun Writers’ Festival

Submissions must be received by Saturday 21st February 2015. No entries after this date can be accepted.
No age limit. There will be three categories for judging; under 10’s, 11-18 and 18 and overs.
Must be author’s own work.
Can be submitted in Welsh or English.

Emailed entries to be as Word doc or pdf attachments.

Do not put your name on the script but use a covering letter with your name, address and telephone number

The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Scripts will not be returned but remain in your copyright.

Entries can be in the form of a play (no more than 4 characters), poem or selection of poems or a story. 10 minutes limit. Winning entries will be performed or read on stage by Theatr Gwaun’s drama groups.

If your entry is a play it must be simply staged with no scenery and with easily accessible props and costumes.

You will be notified a week before the Festival if your entry has been successful.
The winning pieces will be performed on stage at Theatr Gwaun on Saturday 28th March 2015.
