Pause & Play 10-minute plays

Pause & Play is a theatrical event that is made up of original short plays, written by different writers all dealing with the same theme or subject.The pieces are then interwoven to form one cohesive presentation. Each play is rehearsed individually and then the producers put the pieces together a few days before the performance.

WRITERS
We are looking for ten minute plays with two to three characters.We have minimum props and scenery, so please keep that in mind.

THE THEME: HAPPY PEOPLE
Who are they and what do they do? Do happy people know that they are happy? Or is it just something outsiders perceive? If so, which one counts?

More than a specific genre, we are looking for a clear point of view so that each piece will have its own distinctive voice.

You are also more than welcome to submit a few different pieces, should that appeal to you. We will handle casting, but please let us know if you have any recommendations.

TIMELINE
Play(s) due by: February 7
Plays chosen by: February 10
Rehearsals: Actors & the Director will determine rehearsal times.Writers are welcome to join rehearsal if they would like.
Put-Together Day (tech):TBD
Performance: Sunday, March 2 at the Barrow Group.
