Variations Theatre Group (VTG) is proud to announce their second annual Harvest One-Act Play Festival. The selected plays will receive a showing at the Hudson Guild Theatre, beginning the second week of October 2011. During the course of two (2) weeks, each play will have an opportunity to impress audiences and a panel of judges composed of esteemed professionals from the theatrical and literary world. There will be three (3) official rounds of the festival, with winners of each round chosen by a combination of audience and judges’ votes. The playwright of the winning play will receive a grand prize of $1,000.00 and the opportunity to develop the play into a full length production with VTG next season. Awards will also be given out for Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Director. The awards ceremony and final performances will be on October 22nd, 2011 at 10pm.



You may submit up to two (2) plays/applications for the festival. Submissions will only be accepted online to harvest@variationstheatregroup.com. Please include a completed application form, a character breakdown of your play, and a copy of your script as a PDF or Word document. All submissions must be received by 5pm on Friday, September 30th, 2011. There is no submission fee, but if your piece is chosen there is a production fee of $300.00 which is used to help defray operational costs incurred by VTG such as publicity and space rental.
