Call for original short plays by playwrights from tri-state area.



South Street Players (southstreetplayers.org) is seeking short, original, one-act plays for its inaugural Tri-State Theatre Festival. The festival will take place November 4-6, 2011 in Spring Lake, NJ.



The event is a fundraiser, with all proceeds going to South Street Players to help us maintain our commitment to producing high-quality, extremely entertaining theatre experiences for the 2011-12 season…and beyond.



Submission Rules and Process:



We are seeking original comedic and dramatic one-act plays.



Plays should have a performance length of less than 20 minutes.



Playwrights may submit more than one play, but please be sure your name and email address is on the title page of each script.



South Street Players is a family theatre – no excessive swearing or nudity.



No royalties or payment will be provided to playwrights should his or her play be chosen for the festival.



Plays will only be accepted via email.



Plays should be in standard playscript format.
