Fort Point Theatre Channel seeks your submissions for HUMOR US, the ninth in our Exclamation Point! series of short new works.



Do you have something up your sleeve of a singularly sanguine, choleric, melancholic, or phlegmatic inclination? If so, please send it our way! We seek pieces inspired by any or all of the Four Ancient Humors, from the theory that the human body was filled with four basic substances. When the Four Humors are in balance, a person is healthy. Disease results when they are not.



Please submit one work (or proposal),

maximum 10 minutes in length, to point@fortpointtc.org.



Deadline: Wednesday, August 31, 2011



Please include a sentence or two on how your submission relates to the four humors. Also, note any prior performances of your submission. And contact us about submitting works or proposals that cannot be emailed or viewed online.



We seek: short plays, multimedia works, poetry, dance, puppet shows, music, and any other performance genre you can think of. We especially invite you to submit collaborative or cross-genre work. Excerpts of longer pieces are welcome.



Fort Point Theatre Channel will select several pieces that together form an intriguing, original, and entertaining evening. We will also work with contributors as needed on assembling performers and other collaborators.



Expect one to three rehearsals or planning meetings to prepare as a group for the performance. Scripted works will be performed script-in-hand.



HUMOR US will take place in the fall 2011 in a non-traditional venue in

Fort Point, Boston.



MONEY: There is no submission fee.

Exclamation Point! is offered to the public for free.

Participants receive a very small honorarium.
