Tucson Ten-Minute Play Festival

Submissions will be accepted ONLY through the official Eight 10s Submissions Form. Any scripts submitted through any other channels will be rejected without notification.

Winding Road Theater Ensemble is pleased to announce that we will begin accepting submissions for our third annual Eight 10s in Tucson Ten-Minute Play Festival on September 1, 2020.

Submissions will be accepted until September 30, 2020, or until we receive 300 submissions, whichever comes first.

Eight original scripts will be chosen from hundreds of blind submissions from playwrights all over the U.S.. All genres encouraged! The 2021 Eight 10s In Tucson ONLINE festival will run online June – August 2021. Preview the submissions guidelines here.

Please review the guidelines below BEFORE you submit your script. Scripts that do not conform to the formatting outlined in the guidelines may be rejected without notification.

  • A Title Page that contains only the title of the play is required
  • A character synopsis and logline are required on a separate page that immediately follows the title page
  • Script run-time should be a minimum of eight (8) minutes and a maximum of ten (10) minutes
  • Submissions must be original works
  • All themes/genres encouraged
  • Legal clearance of materials is the full responsibility of the playwright
  • Standard Dramatists Guild play formatting is required--see link below
  • Scripts must be submitted as PDF files (no exceptions)
  • Only one (1) submission per playwright will be permitted
  • ALL identifiable playwright information MUST BE REDACTED. All playwright names, addresses, titles, theater names, industry associations, production history, review quotes, endorsements, dedications, etc. may NOT appear anywhere in the script.
