Fall 2020 online classes at Primary Stages ESPA are now open for enrollment! Whether you’re looking to gain the fundamentals of playwriting, start a first draft, or rewrite a play you’ve been working on, we have the class for you!
Build a toolbox of the fundamentals, so your first play (and each play you write after that!) can be built on a strong foundation.

Section A with Mêlisa Annis (Writer, Director, and Dramaturg; Faculty, NYU Tisch Dramatic Writing Program) on Wednesdays from 6:30pm – 9:30pm ET
Section B with Nikkole Salter (Writer, Pulitzer Prize-Nominated In the Continuum; Actor, The Great Society on Broadway) on Thursdays from 6:00pm – 9:00pm ET
This class will guide you through the development of your first draft, providing concrete deadlines, constructive feedback, and a collaborative environment to get your ideas on the page.

As soon as you finish your last line of dialogue, the need for rewrites begins. This class will help you tackle the revision process and develop a stronger version of your play.
