We are now open for submissions for our 13th Women's Work Festival that will be taking place March 4-8 2019 in St. John's Newfoundland Canada.
If you would like to submit your play please email it to womensworkfestivalnl@gmail.com.
We are an international festival of plays-in-progress featuring play readings, music performances, workshops, and panels, promoting work by women (self-identified). Despite some bumps in 2017, we're still here and we're delighted that our festival is happening in 2018!
Our festival has a history of success in helping to launch playwrights from the page to the stage. In our first 10 years, there were 21 professional productions of 17 WWF plays from new, emerging, and established playwrights. As we approach this year's festival, we'll feature some of the writers and hear about their experiences here and where it led them.
WWF gratefully acknowledges support from Canadian Heritage’s BCAH Fund for their continuing, generous support of our festival in 2018. We are delighted to have the long-term support of RCA Theatre, and support from the City of St. John’s.
