Thunderclap Productions submission guidelines

ROLLING CALL FOR PLAYS & MUSICALS

Material type: Plays or musicals (no children’s or liturgical plays)
Length: Any

Please follow these instructions to submit:
Prepare a script with your contact information on the cover and a complete listing of characters (with descriptions) inside. Please also provide a short (one paragraph) synopsis of the play on the cover page or in the front matter of the script.
Save your script as a pdf file, WORD file, or Final Draft file (version 7 or below). Make sure that your file name contains your first and last name.
For musicals, please also prepare three (3) audio samples (mp3 or MIDI). Make sure that your file names contain your first and last name. Please also submit the corresponding scores for these audio samples (Finale or pdf files).
Please also send a short bio and information on if the play/musical has been previously performed, published, or awarded any honors.
Send all of your files to submissions(at)thunderclapproductions(dot)com with a cover email about your submission. For the subject line, please use “Rolling Call Submission.”
For sending large files, we recommend zipping them and sending them through wetransfer.com or a similar service. Please copy info(at)thunderclapproductions(dot)com on any emails containing files whose downloads are time-sensitive.

Questions about past submissions? Please send questions about past submissions to info(at)thunderclapproductions(dot)com. Questions sent to the submissions address may receive very delayed responses. Please note that we receive hundreds of submissions, so it can take well over a year before a final decision is reached.

Can I mail my script/CD? While we strongly prefer scripts submitted online using the above instructions, scripts and recordings may be mailed to us (Thunderclap Productions, 5248 Arboles Drive, Houston, TX 77035). Please include all of your contact information in a cover letter and format your script to letter-size (8.5″x11″) paper. Also, please note that we do not return scripts or materials that are mailed to us.
