The ninth annual Six Women Playwriting Festival will be held the weekends of: April 9 and April 16, and April 23, 2015.
The theme of this year’s festival is:
SIGNS, OMENS & FORTUNE COOKIES, Hints of Things to Come
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
GUIDELINES
Open to women 16 years or older; limited to one play per playwright.
Your play must be unpublished and not previously professionally produced. Previously submitted plays will not be accepted and will not be returned or receive a response.
Your play must be submitted electronically in the following format:
1. One file with your name as the file name (last name first). This must be one page including the play name, your name, address, phone number and email and short personal bio (60-word max).
2. One file with the title of the play as the file name. This file will include your play (with the play name at the top of the page) which must be a maximum of ten pages (numbered), double-spaced between dialogue.

Your play must follow the above theme and appropriate for our community and theatre. The reading committee and producing theatre are seeking scripts with the potential for “dynamic staging of richly established characters in original dramatic and comedic relationships.” Please no “television sitcom situations” or “talking heads.”
Awards
$100 to each winning playwright
$100 stipend to those playwrights attending April 16-17th Festival Weekend
Winner Notification
The six winning playwrights will be notified in February 2015.
