The North Canton [OHIO] Playhouse presents The Nationally Producing 5th Annual New Play Festival From Script to You: 2011 New Works Festival

NCP Seeks NEW PLAYS to produce 10-minutes and One Act Plays

Any and all genres are encouraged - polished and rough scripts accepted

Plays will produced in an intimate fifty seat studio

Compensation limited to free tickets and possible honorarium

Professional and Amateur Writers Produced

PAST PRODUCED WRITERS from Ohio, California, Illinois, Indiana, New York, Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, and more with various professional and community backgrounds
SUBMISSIONS over the past four year include over 5,000 pages of script from 89 writers

FESTIVAL HISTORY includes 25 writers, 47 actors, and 7 directors
Requirements for Submission

All materials required, sent in one email. Files in .RTF or .DOC (not .docx) formats only to: Email: jeremy_paul_lewis@yahoo.com

Deadline: March 4, 2011

In the subject/body of the email:

•Subject line must read "2011 NCP New Play Submission"
•Body of email state your full name, contact information, and play title(s)
•NOTE any plays of yours produced in previous NCP productions/festivals
Attached to your email (as RTF file only):
•One (1) page story synopsis
•Playwright resume - professionals and amateurs accepted
•Letter of interest - stating why you wish you play to be produced at NCP
•Title page
•Character page
•Full script(s) with numbered pages - maximum of forty (40) pages
Approximately Ten (10) scripts will be selected for auditions in late March as part of our script review process – seeing actors read and work the play. A final three (3) to Six (6) scripts will selected for public performance. Final selections will be announced in late March.
