Umbrellas for Fish invites playwrights, dramatists, theatre-makers and writers from around the world to submit original three-page plays for a special international anthology exploring loss, identity, memory, time, desire, regret and the absurdity of existence.

WHAT IF YOU COULD CLAIM BACK SOMETHING YOU LOST?

THE THREE-PAGE CHALLENGE

Your entire play must fit within three pages.
In those three pages, give us:

A WORLD.
A CHARACTER.
A PROBLEM.
A TURN.

AN ENDING.The play should be complete in itself rather than an excerpt from a longer work.

We are looking for theatrical experiences in miniature.

STAGEABILITY

We particularly welcome plays that can be realised on stage with:

 Small casts
 Minimal sets
 Simple props
 Flexible locations
 Strong dialogue
 Economical stage directions

A play should not require an enormous production to create an extraordinary theatrical experience.

THE GOLDEN RULE DO NOT EXPLAIN THE ABSURDITY.
