Queens (NYC) Theatre’s Unbound Voices: New Play Development Series (formerly New American Voices) is now accepting submissions for short plays for future readings.
We are looking for original plays about characters experiencing a moment of change in Queens, NY. Let a Queens neighborhood, landmark, institution, event, or moment in the borough's history shape the characters’ journey.
We are looking for small cast plays (2-5), under 10 minutes running time. Compensation will be offered for the selected play.Submissions must be new, unproduced works. (Previous workshops and readings are permitted.)
One submission per writer.
Works in any theatrical style are welcome.
Bilingual works are encouraged.
Please submit files as PDF with the filename formatted "LastName_FirstName_PlayTitle.pdf" (please use only letters, numbers, and underscores in the filename omitting other punctuation or special characters.)
