SUBMISSION FORM
Green Lung Studio is excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions from playwrights and theater-makers for our Spring 2026 season! We are seeking artists eager to share work-in-progress readings, first-look premieres, or full-length pieces in an environment designed to support experimentation and creative risk.
About Our Space:
Green Lung is an artist-run incubator and creative refuge located in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We are not a traditional theater; rather, we are a studio, a lab, and a gathering space for artists across various disciplines. Our programming is dedicated to uplifting new voices and embracing the "mess and magic" of work live performance.
Opportunities Include:
Readings Series: Share up to 25 minutes of new or in-process work on Monday nights, presented alongside 2–3 other artists. These evenings may also feature musicians or poets.
First Look + Full-Length Presentations: Present finished or evening-length work with flexible weekend scheduling and technical and performance support.
Key Details:
Performances can be held in Studio A (75 seats) or Studio B (40-50 seats).
We offer a 50/50 ticket split and provide front-of-house support.
There are no restrictions on plays that have been previously produced or published.
How to Apply:
Please complete our short submission form at [greenlungstudio.com/theatersubmit](https://greenlungstudio.com/theatersubmit).
We welcome submissions from artists at all stages of their careers. If you have any questions before applying, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at programming@greenlungstudio.com.
We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
