- Paid 3-day workshop for playwrights who identify as having a disability
- Workshop concludes with staged reading open to the public
- Four 10-minute plays will be selected
Workshop takes place in-person in lexington, KY
Four 10-minute plays will be selected. A $100 payment will be made to each project selected, regardless of the number of contributing playwrights. The primary playwright will receive payment. Any distribution is their responsibility.
Directors, actors, and dramaturgical services will be provided as needed.
All selected participants will be required to sign a media release form.

Location: HDI Huguenard Office (2355 Huguenard Drive, Lexington, KY, Suite 100B)
Dates: Workshop - March 26—28, 2024 | Staged Reading - March 29, 2024 (Location TBD)
Submission Requirements:
- All playwrights must be at least 18 years old.
- Run-time: Short plays with an ideal run-time of 10 minutes (no longer than 15 minutes)
- Cohesive 10-15 minutes portions of longer works will be considered.
- Complete short plays will be prioritized; however, incomplete short plays will be considered.
- Submissions should be your entire current draft.
- Works must be new (never been produced/fully staged for a paying audience).
We highly encourage submissions with Disabled characters or Disability-related themes or subject matters, but any work by a Playwright who is Deaf/Disabled will be considered.
