Avalanche is committed to fostering the innovative and unconventional voices in today's theatre community, by producing new plays of notable literary merit.

We are interested in theatrical stories told in interesting ways. We love stories that are in conversation with history, as well as stories that push the boundaries of playwriting. We especially love stories with compelling, nuanced characters who represent a variety of backgrounds and identities.


We are specifically looking for new plays that are ready for a full production. We will accept plays that have had up to three previous productions, but plays that still require development may not be the best fit for us. We are also not able to accept scripts that have been published.

To submit your play, please fill out the submission form. Make sure you have the following items prepared:

A 10 page sample of your script
A brief, 3-5 sentence synopsis
Character breakdown
Production history
