The University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance is excited to announce our ninth annual 10-Minute Play Festival for spring of 2022.
We will begin accepting submissions for this festival on September 10, 2021, and the submission period closes on October 18, 2021. This festival is open to all applicants, amateur or professional. One selected external submission from this call will receive aproduction as a part of this festival.

Scripts will only be accepted between September 10 and October 18, 2021.
Scripts received outside this window will not be accepted. The winning play will be announced in November.
How to Submit:
Plays must be submitted via email to uh10minuteplayfest@gmail.com. There should be no identifiable information in the script. Your email should include the following:

- Limit one play per playwright.
- Scripts should fall in the range of 8-12 pages and run roughly 10 minutes (page count doesn't includetitle page). Characters should fall between the ages of 16-30 or there should be no specific age requirements.
- Previously produced plays aren't eligible.
- Musicals and plays for children are discouraged.
- Submissions will be acknowledged via email, but we don't offer critiques.
- There is no financial compensation for winning entries.
