Playwrights/Writing Teams
Be mindful that we are a small company. We want to give time and energy to each submission we get, so allow us time to review your work and please only submit your piece once. We’ll reach out once we have reviewed it.
What are we looking for?
-New or reimagined work (play or musical)
-Hasn’t had a full production in New York
-Would benefit from development (whether it’s a reading, workshop, production, or anywhere in between)
-Centers at least one of the following:
- Femme Characters
- LGBTQ+ Characters
- Characters With Varying Access Needs
- Global Majority Characters
-A packet that includes, in this order: 1) brief synopsis with the piece’s development and/or production history, if any, 2) character breakdown, 3) brief statement answering the question, “Why Now?” and 4) current draft of the script. For musical submissions, please include the libretto with lyrics, and at least two song demos. Please remove any identifiers such as your names, pronouns, location, etc. in all parts of your packet.
