Wellfleet Festival of One Act Plays

Outermost Performing Arts Center | Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will present in cooperation with curator G.W. Mercure a Wellfleet Festival of One Act Plays, slated for July, 2020, in the Larry Phillips Performance Pavilion.

Collaborative, story-driven, and diverse, the Festival of One Act Plays is seeking to unite playwrights, directors, performers, and audiences in a range of dynamic theatre experiences through the presentation of short, unique plays crafted by new, emerging, and experienced playwrights and produced by an array of New England theatre devotees.

Submission Guidelines:
We are seeking plays of all kinds that will be no longer than fifteen minutes when performed. Previously performed or published plays are accepted for consideration. Local, national, and international playwrights are encouraged to submit one to two plays in any format to shorts@what.org by 03/05/2020.

The festival facilitators will contact the creators of the selected plays by 04/05/2020.

Selected Plays for Performance: The Wellfleet Festival of One Act Plays panel will finalize and announce all selected plays for performance by 04/01/2020. Playwrights will receive notification only if their play(s) was/were selected for performance, and the titles and authors of the selected plays will also be posted on the event’s web page.
