2020 5th Annual One-Act Playwriting Jamboree

web site

Submission Deadline:  March 6, 2020

If playwright is a member of a professional playwright guild or recognized national or international playwright organization, this fee will be waived - but playwright must provided proof of membership with their submissions (a copy of the front and back of a membership card or membership letter on official letterhead).

Writers must submit their one-act plays (with a running time of 20 minutes or less) maximum 2 plays per writer.

Our one-act jamboree is open to writers of all ages, stages, and locations around the world!
We are ESPECIALLY seeking new one-act plays that one might consider ground-breaking or boundary-pushing  and that invite audiences to think deeper or feel more deeply about issues and topics in the play. We also encourage female and minority playwrights to submit their plays for consideration. However, our readings are blind, meaning the members of our panel are not made aware of the age, race, gender, nationality, and/or religion of the playwright during the reading and selection process of plays. We do not discriminate in our play selection based on age, race, gender, nationality, or religion and all plays submitted are ultimately judged for plot, character development, dialogue, and overall quality.

Please send manuscripts, cover letter (see "How to Submit" below)
