The Denizens Theater Company, an ensemble formed by two diverse women in 2017, is seeking original submissions for their upcoming night of staged one-acts and readings.
The theme of the show (and the season) is Loyalty.
Breakdown/Prompt:
What does it mean to be loyal? To be true?
True to self, true to loved ones, history, beliefs, leaders?
What does it take? And what happens when it’s gone?
Our season arc will explore the strengths and weaknesses of the things to which we pledge allegiance.
We are specifically looking to explore Loyalty through the lens of:
Family, Love, Change (or lack thereof), Pretending, Race, Art, and Politics.
Scenes must be 10 minutes or less and feature at least one woman.
Writers, when submitting, please note if you would prefer to direct your piece.
