Get involved with Chicago’s premiere theatre for the development and production of all new feminist plays. The submission window is now open for Artemisia Fall Festival 2019 and all Chicago playwrights are invited to submit their work!
Submissions are accepted between July 1st and December 15th each year. Plays received outside of that time frame will be deleted and will not be considered.
Please include in your submission a one-page synopsis and the first ten pages of the play, the play’s production history and your professional resume as a single file PDF attachment to playsubs@artemisiatheatre.org.
Submission is free and Artemisia is dedicated to finding six remarkable, startling and unique plays. Julie Proudfoot, Artemisia’s Artistic Director, will choose a play from Fall Festival 2019 to undergo an exciting development process that celebrates the playwright’s unique feminist voice and engages our audience directly in workshops and discussion that will culminate in a thrilling premiere production in Chicago.
