Casa de Beverly seeking female playwrights

web site

Join us at the Casa for dinner Saturday 8/20.

Dear Playwrights,

Because community is one of Casa de Beverley's core values, we're inviting you join us for a dinner to share your work and have first shot at being a part of One Acts and Snacks Season Three.

We're looking for 18 female-identifying playwrights to feature. (Guys we love you, and we'd love you to come perform or direct, but this seasons' for the LADIES! Please do forward this message on to your female playwriting peers. Or come and make a connection to be a performer or director!)

What To Bring:
  • Yourself.
  • Your ten-minute-no-more-than-4-character-finished-OR-work-in-progress script
Where To Bring it:
Casa de Beverley in Brooklyn (RSVP to Katie@casadebeverley.com for exact address)

When:
6pm, Saturday August 20th

Why?
  • To have a fun meal with some great folks
  • To learn more about the Casa and OAS
  • To guarantee your spot in the season lineup.
There is no charge for this event. We want to meet our future season three playwrights, tell you all about how you can be a part of the community, and, together, design season three which starts September 17th and runs every third Saturday of most months thru April. While we may not read your entire script on Saturday, we'll definitely share synopsis' (and food!), learn all about us and have the option of confirming your scheduled performance date during Season 3.

Those who make it in person and want to work with us are guaranteed a spot in the season. If you cannot make it and still want to possibly participate, email your script and we'll get you the info you need to decide if you want in.

Season Three participating playwrights will be notified by August 25th.

IMPORTANT ALLERGY NOTE - Our location for the dinner and future performances is also home to one dog and two cats. They are very loving. Unfortunately their fur is occasionally not so. If you know you are sensitive, please take whatever precautions you need to keep yourself comfortable while here.
