ADIRONDACK THEATRE FESTIVAL submission guidelines

ATF’s mission is to produce new and contemporary scripts. To fulfill this mission we welcome the opportunity to meet new playwrights and read their work. We seek unproduced scripts exploring contemporary issues, set in the Adirondacks and across the country utilizing seven actors or less.

However, as ATF does not have a literary staff we cannot handle unsolicited scripts unless submitted by an agent. If you do not have an agent, please first submit the following query: a cover letter, a professional resume, a professional letter of recommendation, a brief synopsis of your script, a ten-page dialogue sample, and a self-addressed stamped envelope should you wish your materials to be returned to you.

Due to the large volume of queries we receive, please allow up to six months for submissions to be read and processed. We will contact you if we wish to read the full manuscript. To ensure your work fits, we also ask that you familiarize yourself with our production history prior to sending a submission. Please note ATF does not provide dramaturgical feedback.
