The Rewrite at Primary Stages ESPA

Writing is the easy part. Rewriting can be downright impossible. Luckily, Rogelio Martinez and Josh Hecht are at Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA) to help.

As soon as you finish your last line of dialogue, the need for rewrites begins. This class will begin by establishing individualized writing goals to conquer over eight weeks. Whether you choose to embark on a rewrite of your entire play or focus on individual scenes, writing exercises and in-class discussion will inspire you to ask new questions of your play, look at it from various angles, and deconstruct it with your fellow writers. You will leave this class with a stronger version of your play, and with the tools you need to transform any first draft into a polished, compelling work that's ready to submit.

Classes begin in June. Payment plans available.
