web site Applause Theatre & Cinema Books is looking for material for the following three books, edited by Lawrence Harbison:  One on One: Contemporary Monologues for Kids Ages 7-15, Duo! The Best Scenes for Kids Ages 7-15, and  25 10-Minute Plays for Kids. 1. Monologues/scenes from plays (which don’t necessarily have to have been produced) but will consider material written for these books 2. Monologues should be two to three minutes long and scenes should be three to five minutes long 3. For the ten minute play book, the characters should be in the same age range as the monologue/scene books 4. For the monologues, include a descriptive blurb containing name/age of character, to whom he/she is speaking and the dramatic context and for scenes, include a descriptive blurb containing name/ages of characters and the dramatic context Monologues/scenes/10-minute plays may be sent to Lawrence Harbison. Submissions will be accepted until April 1, 2015.
