Caffeine Theatre call for script submissions

We are primarily interested in full-length dramas or comedies for casts of 10 or less, though we will also consider small-scale musicals and one-acts. We also accept adaptations and translations. Due to our small staff and the large number of submissions, our response time is generally one year.

Caffeine Theatre will only read plays within our mission. Caffeine welcomes 10-15 page samples and synopses by mail or by email, as well as full scripts by email only. (Please note that we will not be able to return scripts or samples.)

As a theatre in conversation with the poetic tradition, Caffeine Theatre produces plays by and about poets, as well as plays that contain poetry/verse (metric or free). While we appreciate plays with beautiful language, our mission concerns a direct relationship to the poetic tradition and its penchant for social questions.
