Revolution Stage Company Ten-Minute Play Festival

Deadline: November 1, 2023

The REVOLUTION STAGE COMPANY is seeking original plays for our inaugural Ten-minute Play Festival.

The brand-new REVOLUTION STAGE COMPANY in Palm Springs, California, is accepting submissions for its inaugural Ten-minute Play Festival to be held Jan.13th and 14th (Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend) of 2024.

If your play is accepted for this festival, it must be brought to the theater “production-ready”, meaning you are responsible for all casting, rehearsing, etc. prior to bringing it to our stage.

*No fee required for submissions.
(Audience ticket admissions collected for the festival will be split 50/50 between each selected play and RSC)
*Playwrights may submit more than one play.
*All plays must run 10 minutes when staged, (plus or minus one minute)
*All plays must be original and not yet performed in the Palm Springs area.
*All plays must be suitable for a general audience.
*All plays should have no more than 5 characters, with limited props and/or costumes. If your play is selected you will be responsible for bringing, setting and removing any set pieces within two minutes to make the stage available for the next play.
*All plays should have no special tech requirements. We will, however, accommodate ‘lights up’ and ‘lights down’ between plays.
*Once your play is accepted, there can be no changes that would change the nature of the play.

*Submissions must be received by November 1, 2023 in .docx or .pdf format with pages numbered.

Author’s name should be left off of any pages of the script so that we can evaluate anonymously. The author’s name should appear ONLY on the title page, which will be removed from script before distributing to judges.
